The Wherry Inn is situated
in the charming village of Geldeston on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, only 4
miles from the market town of Beccles.
A two minute walk brings you to the delightful Rowan Craft Marina which offers day boat hire, as well as caravan pitches and a
slipway. In gentler weather there is a beautiful walk along the River Waveney
from Beccles, the Southern Gateway to the Norfolk Broads. Alternatively, the
No. 60 bus stops directly outside the pub, serving Beccles, Bungay and Lowestoft with
links to Great Yarmouth, Norwich and beyond.
Janet Carr & John Warner and their
staff offer a warm and friendly atmosphere in a traditional setting with open
fires in the winter and a beautiful courtyard and beer garden. We have ample
car parking and welcome families (including the furry members) for drinks and
meals.
We serve traditional
homemade English food, with all meals prepared from fresh local
ingredients in our kitchen. To complement our food we serve a range of Adnams
beers and wines to suit the season. We are always happy to cater to your individual needs.
We now have a function room available with seating for 24 people.
Why not enjoy a circular walk
from our pub and have a drink and bite to eat on your return? You can download
an iFootpath walk (pdf) here.
